My overall action plan is to make my parents’ yard more sustainable by fixing their compost, decreasing the shade around their solar hot water panels, building raised beds from reclaimed material, assessing lighting and making a plan for installing LEDs, removing English Ivy from the trees and yard and replacing it with natives, making a rainwater catchment system, and finding an ecofriendly way to remove moss from their roof.
