This summer I plan to build a hoop house greenhouse on my parent’s 7 acre property and use this activity as a way to teach local children about gardening. My younger brother goes to a forrest school with a small class of about 8 children who I plan to invite and teach simple gardening techniques to in the greenhouse that I will build. As an eco-psychology student with teaching experience I think that this is a very doable challenge for me. Currently my parents have more that enough land and are already trying to create a permaculture system. The students at my brothers school are very young but are already learning about nature and plants and it shouldn’t be too far of a stretch for them to learn to grow food.
