Downloading is not all bad! Just make sure you do it legally. More and more software providers are offering digital downloads of their products. Consider the humble CD: for each disc that is created, two pounds of carbon dioxide is emitted into the atmosphere. That may not sound like much, but when you consider the 2 billion CD’s sold in 2000, this number adds up quickly.
BTW, the same goes for music. iTunes, Amazon, and other digital stores are a great alternative to purchasing a CD.
